Access to HR data in EIS

For those employees with a business need to be able to view employee data in EIS, access is granted once requested by the appropriate person.  Access to other than HR data is granted in the office responsible for that data (e.g. the Payroll Office gives access to payroll data, the Budget Office gives access to budget reports, and so on).

The request should contain:

  • Name of the person needing accessf
  • Job title of the person needing access
  • EUID or Emplid of the person needing access
  • Department name/number in which the person needing access works
  • Type of HR data to which the request is related
    • Timekeeper Access
    • Administrative Office Access (i.e. Budget Office, Payroll Office, PPS, etc.)
  • Brief justification of for the need of the access
  • Date by which access is needed

The request should be submitted by the department head/chair or his/her designee, or the request may be created by administrative support personnel and submitted to HR via the department head/chair or his/her designee.

Approval for access may be granted by some one other than the department head/chair when:

  • The level of responsibility of the designee is high enough that they would be eligible to be a signatory for financial transactions (i.e. Associate Dean)
  • The department head/chair has notified Human Resources that all requests from the designee should be honored (in which case every request should be copied to the department head/chair)

All requests should be sent to Patty Palumbo in Human Resources. Requests usually take from 24 to 48 hours to be completed. An acknowledgement will be returned once the access has been updated.
